What is photodynamic therapy?
PDT is a highly advanced procedure used to stop abnormal bleeding from retinal blood vessels. The procedure combines a cold laser and a light-sensitive dye (Verteporfin). One of our retina specialists administers the medication through an IV line and travels to the abnormal vessels in the eye.
